(39,343 posts)You've got 1 year until you really start to feel hangovers so much more than when you were in your 20's.
At 35, dieting and working out have little effect on your body, while junk food and fat find weird places to park on your body.
At 40, your body will just give you the middle finger. You might throw your back out while washing your hair in the shower or even brushing your teeth.
Also at 40, you won't understand squat about technology and will find it difficult to program simple electronics.
So, on conclusion, live it up while you can...

(53,410 posts)I'm 68 and can't wait to see what a great time I have in my 70s.
But I really didn't start enjoying myself until I turned 40 because for some reason I kept waiting to feel like an adult. Once I gave that up I was just fine.

(6,125 posts)Make sure you visit your physician regularly. Take your calcium and don't forget that exercise does wonders for your health, so a walk around the mall a few times a week can't hurt.
Make sure your life insurance is sufficient so that your family won't have to worry about your funeral
Never, ever feed your hearing aids to the dog.
Rock on.
