edited to add. I ate a lot of weird jello concoctions as a kid. Church pot luck dinners.

I ate a lot of weird jello things at church pot lucks too. My mom was a fan of meat-based gelatin concoctions. I'll never forget her tomato and some-kind-of-meat aspic.
