Question about Daredevil season 2 (no spoilers)

Disclaimer: I don't binge-watch, so I can only comment on one episode at a time.

The stairwell fight in episode three. Am I mistaken, or did they choreograph that as a single three-minute shot tracking DD through the halls and down the stairwell?

The only camera change that I'm sure of is when he goes through the fire door. There might also be one or two when someone passes in front of the camera, but I can't tell for certain.

Very evocative of the mob fight scene in Old Boy.

It struck me when I re-watched the fight scene a little later. One thing I've really liked is how both seasons (so far) have done a nice job of representing Daredevil's slug-it-out fighting style that's equal parts elegant acrobatics and raw brawling. It's visually distinctive from, say, the fights in Arrow, and it's not simply a Gymkata parkour showcase, either.

If I have one complaint about this season is that I don't care all that much about Foggy and I don't need long swaths of his dialogue. Of the three main characters, he's easily the least interesting to me, yet somehow he seems to get more screen time than Matt or Karen.

He was good there.

I've only seen the first 3 eps though so I don't know how tiresome he gets later lol.

But if they start to run stories about him, or in which he's the main fulcrum, they're going to lose me.

SPOILER BELOW IN WHITE TEXT

I wasn't thrilled with the extended chat between DD & the Punisher on the rooftop, because it really didn't tell us anything about vigilante morality that we haven't seen a million times before. The exchange went on for much longer than was needed and could have been summed up more tightly. They risk over-playing the "I'm a Catholic" thing, too.

On the other hand, I love that they haven't come right out and said that the Punisher doesn't kill cops or civilians. Anyone who knows the character knows this already, but it creates a nice tension to see it played out this way on screen.

lol, so it didn't seem quite as tedious as I think it actually was. I agree with all that up there but don't wanna quote it and ruin the spoiler formatting.

I thought that season 2 was to premiere this coming Friday, but it was available on 3/18. Enjoy!

I was expecting a Power Man series first before Season 2 came out...

Guess I was so wrong...
More long sleepless nights.

I think Netflix was surprised at how popular Daredevil was (given the history with Ben Affleck) so, season 2 was greenlit before Jessica Jones came out.

Right now, we have Luke Cage in September.
Then, we have The Defenders in 2017 (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist?)
I would assume Iron Fist is also in 2017 since they've announced Finn Jones as Iron Fist and are casting Shang-Chi

that would leave Daredevil 3 and Jessica Jones 2 in 2018 - seems like a long wait, since JJ came out in 2015.
Then Luke Cage 2 and Defenders 2 in 2019?

Unless Netflix picks up the pace and starts doing 3 marvel shows/year? (They certainly have the money)

I am sure I will be surprised by the actor, though I just keep seeing him as the Knight of Roses.

I do like the Netflix Marvel series. They are well done.

The hallway fight in season 1 got some rave reviews, so they have a couple of attempts to recreate it this season.
