‘Deadpool’ Surpasses Both ‘Iron Man’ & ‘Man Of Steel’ At The Domestic Box Office

Another weekend means another big accomplishment for 20th Centry Fox’s Deadpool. The film, which many initially doubted, has surpassed expectations and gone on to become the highest grossing first entry in a superhero franchise to date at the domestic box office right behind Guardians Of The Galaxy & Spider-Man. This weekend the film hit $328 million at the north American box office which has pushed it past both Marvel Studios’ Iron Man ($318 million) and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel ($291 million).

As a life long comic-book fan the movie felt true to the character. RR was born to play DP. Fox should just throw a ton of money at him & sign him up now for a multi-movie deal ASAP.

DP had to be an R rated movie or it just wouldn't have worked. Even though they had to be dragged into making the movie, good job Fox.

Deadpool is easily the best comedy I've seen since the first Hangover flick, and definitely the best super hero flick since Guardians of the Galaxy. Loved it.

A very healthy return on the productions costs:

and a very entertaining film as well. I seen it twice to date and will no doubt get the Blu-ray later.

Hollywood accounting is one of the biggest scams around.
