When you were a kid, did you ever sneak into an R-rated movie in a theater

You're in middle school or high school. Maybe you sold the ticket taker on your being 17. Maybe you went to the twin, thre-plex, or multi-plex and "oops" - walked into the wrong theater. Maybe an older friend posed as an older brother or sister.

What did you see? Did you get caught?

1. I was a very naive 12 when I watched Chinatown on the tv. My dad was watching it and he certainly

didn't know how it would end. I was so shocked I had no interest in R rated movies for a long time.

it was playing at the theater at the mall where I worked and was worth all the cajoling it took to get me and my friend in.

22. I snuck into "The End" with Burt Reynolds & Sally Field

Sally was nekkid from the side, but you couldn't really see much. Other than that, not very R-rated.

4. Yes. The movie was the mid-70's movie about the housewife

who had an affair with a young dude ( can't recall the name).

We (three teen boys) thought it would be porn. There was not even a tit exposed.

6. I grew up spending summers at my grandparent's house...

The theatre was a block away and I went several times a week. I remember seeing Summer of '42. My mom found out and said she didn't think I should see movies like that. My grandpap said, "It's good they show kids today how things were back then." LOL

A 20-something widow has an affair with a high school kid. I don't remember anything too steamy.

8. Hell, my mom took me to see Jaws when I was five.

She was with a long-time friend and neither of them thought it would be as horrifying as it was.

Luckily, I fell asleep about 1/4 of the way into the movie and stayed that way until the end.

When I was 17, I snuck into a porn shop with a couple friends, in Milwaukee.

When it was first in theaters.

They enjoyed it more than I did. I found the violence repugnant even though I understood how it fit the plot. It's not a movie I have ever been able to watch again.

One building, one screen and everyone knew everyone else. The only films kids went to by themselves were the Saturday afternoon raves -- popcorn with real butter, News of the World, two cartoons, double feature, usually cowboy and Three Stooges

23. I didn't even have to sneak in to an X-rated movie

when I was a teenager. It was Easy Rider, and my father actually came to the theater to tell them it was ok for me and my friends to go in and see it. That was a shocker, he wasn't a real liberal kinda guy.

my brothers' room where the t.v. was located to watch The Avengers at eleven o'clock at night on a school night.

27. When I was a kid back in the 1950's

they didn't have R-rated movies. They did have some adults-only-unless-you-are-with-your-parents movies, and I saw a few with my mother.

And now, as and old lady curmudgeon, I ask you to not use "snuck." "Sneaked" is proper, and does not give the impression of mucus combined with other bodily fluids.

28. When I was 10 my mom let me watch almost ALL of the Best Little Whore House in Texas

She wouldn't let me see the beginning where they showed everything BUT afterwards she let me watch. Couple of swear words wasn't that big deal.
