Patrick seems to be deteriorating before my eyes.

It's almost as if the visit to the vet on Friday triggred it. Patrick has taken to hiding in corners or under the bed and urinating on the floor. He seem to be eating and drinking less too. I have a feeling that when the vet calls tomorrow, it will not be good news.

Put a cozy sleeping place in the room. Put out water. Clean litterbox. That way he may feel safe, and you will be able to observe exactly what he's taking in and putting out.

You may be able to get him to drink water with some tuna juice in it. Keeping him hydrated is probably important. Offer him something especially tasty, like bits of chicken to see if he's eating.

A radio with some soft music playing might comfort him if you think being sequestered would be stressful.

If you get to the point where you need to keep Patrick's nourishment up, there is a product specifically for that, for cats. It's a high-calorie gel that you either put on the paw to be licked off, or you put a dab under the lip and kitty will lick it off. The name is escaping me this moment, but I have a tube of it and will get it if you need it. You can buy it at Petco and many other places.

I may need it eventually. I'm sure I'll be able to find it around here.

I didn't hear from the vet today. I called, but didn't get a call back. I'll call again tomorrow.

I got my mom's kitteh to eat when he was sick by smearing some cat food on his paw which he licked off. Vibes and prayers for your little buddy.
