What are/were you allergic to. Me bees as a kid. I sat on a hornet's nest when I was 14 and

the stings became large bumps but that was all. I don't think I'm allergic anymore. And I used to have a gut wrenching physical reaction to being around strawberries as a teen. My mom and I made strawberry jam one time. I prepared a whole flat of strawberries and could not look them for a decade afterwards. Now I love them.

I learned how to cut a mango in half up to the edge of the large flat seed, then pull the halves apart and cut into them in 1/2" slices in both directions up to the inside of the skin, then turn it "inside out" so the cubes of mango are sticking out , then bite them off... then have an itchy rim around my lips for a few days, tiny blisters. Urushiol is the culprit, and it's in poison ivy, oak and sumac, too.
I've had a rash from poison ivy in Massachusetts and from poison oak in California.
