Sadly he had to lose his fluffiness today (along with his testicles) but the fluffiness will be back. The testicles, not so much. ("You said I was going to be tutored!!!"

(34,111 posts)I am always mixed when I have to clip my dogs. I have two Standard Poodles and I hate to do it, they are so cute when fuzzy but then they are cute when not fuzzy (I don't do poodle cuts). I miss having a little dog I can pick up but I do love these poodles, incredible farm dogs.
Awwww, he is just great!

(17,086 posts)A few years aga I had to take my dog in to the vets for a split dew claw. We were living in the French Quarter in New Orleans and the vet was a few blocks away, so I walked her there. When I brought her back home she couldn't walk in a straight line and her tongue was half out her mouth, as I dragged her two blocks down Bourbon Street. Pretty sure everyone thought she was drunk.
Cute pup!

(17,086 posts)I have a Catahoula. I was told coat maintenance consists of two baths a year, "whether they need it or not", which cinched the deal. She still sheds.

(56,582 posts)Ah, yeah: we don't get that. Zero shedding (literally; it's hair not fur) but they need baths about as often as humans do.

(16,382 posts)Mine is a rescue from New Iberia, LA. She was born deaf which is no big deal. Best. Dog. Ever. My soul-mate.

(17,086 posts)Mine came through Vet Adoptions in Laplace, LA. I think they gave her up because she has a bad hip and didn't want to breed her. I feel the same about her.

Seriously, though: best dog I've ever had.
