The Music Meditation Project

The Music Meditation Project is something started by my one of my wife's cousins. He is a classically trained musician. He gets a group of people together for meditation and jam sessions. The thing about it is that no one else in the group has any musical training. The following link is to last night's session. There are eight people there and seven of us have no formal training in music. It starts out kind of slow, but gets going after a few minutes and actually kind of sounds good. The jam session is broken up into two parts on the web page. The entire session was 32 minutes. I was on banjo.

One of the interesting things I've found about doing this is that I lose track of time while playing. I had no idea we had played for over a half hour. It just seemed like a few minutes.
