I think my favorite (going back a ways) was his role in 'Platoon' (1986 - but well worth seeing) where he was nominated for an Academy Award.

(56,828 posts)he was Jesus in The Last Temptation of Christ. He had some really good movies from the mid 80s through the late 90s. Agreed - he's always enjoyable to watch
