I lost 4 lbs in a week on the new atkins

Wow. It's the only thing that works at my age.

I know I know: Its not healthy. That depends on alot of things. Ieat lots of greens every day:More than the average american.

You don't eat processed food, and you eat a LOT more veggies than most people when you're on on Atkins!
Forget all that BS about fat and cholesterol...the junk is the trans fats, the sugar, and the processed, nutritionless flour. I love low-carb, and have basically been living on it (with evil lapses here and there) sice forever, and I have recipes for almost everything. Tomorrow, for game-day, I'm making Heroin Chicken from Dana Carpender, a genius...Google her for some great recipes and ideas.

It's such a relief to get off the carb craving mania. I'm so much happier w/o the xarbs.

I'm sitting on my couch with my badly sprained ankle propped up as high as I can get it. I'm craving carbs and DH is so obliging...I will be going Atkins shortly to lose the excess pity-poundage

her clientele is made up mostly of paleo-types, crossfitters, & fitness enthusiasts. I hired her because for some reason, my legs decided to go wonky on me (doctors still haven't figured it out, but it's not MS) & so can't cook. I was eating drive thru food (although trying to stick to salads, etc) but my doc said to lose weight, soooo....

Chef cooks "clean" meals, very healthy & filling, organic when she can & OMG the stuff she prepares tastes great. $100/week, 3 meals & 2 snacks M-F. That's less than I was spending eating out every meal every day & also less than my grocery bill.

I lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks & still keep losing. My BP is normal even though I am overweight. I've tried going back to my former haunts on weekends, but now think the food is too salty & not flavorful enough.

Keep at it!

When you're back on your feet, learn the new atkins (not the original) and you'll learn the new habits to keep it off.

Feels goid, doesn't it!
