I bought five boxes last week. All different flavors. I'm eating the last tray of Samoans right now.

Lemon GSCs next time. Plus, I'll also pick up a couple of Samoans to send #2-son for his next CARE package! As you can see, I feel strongly about supporting Girl Scouts. Yummers.

There were little girls in thin mint and samoa costumes at the Stop & Shop on Saturday. I am a sucker for these kids, having been one a long time ago.

I honestly can't walk by them at the entrance to grocery stores. They are so cute. I most always stop and pick up another box or two. Some I take to work, some I give to my boys, some I freeze, but most I nom.

The better to go with adult beverages, apparently. Local news did a story Wednesday about a bar in Long Beach, CA that serves Girl Scout cookies with beer (they recommend stout with Thin Mints).

Recently there was another story about a woman who pairs GSC with wine. There are a lot of net links on these beer or wine pairings for GSC but I didn't pursue more info, intending to stick with milk or coffee for my pairing.

And, my daughter was in girl scouts for a few years. But, I've never liked any of their cookies. Thin mints and the plain shortbread ones are kind of tolerable, and the others I strongly dislike.

My favorite cookies are chocolate chips. I also like those sugar cookies my mom used to make for Christmas. Heck, I like oatmeal cookies more, and those molasses cookies I can buy at Starbucks.

None of those "chewy" cookies for me. Nope. I like my cookies like I like my men: crispy and dipped in milk.
