(115,836 posts)Most cats hiss only when they are really frightened or angry, but my part-Siamese weirdo Pixie hisses whenever she is even mildly annoyed. Like if I get in her way as she's leaving a room, *hiss* or if I pick her up to move her somewhere, *hiss* Every little irritation or not getting her way is a cause for hissing. I've never known another cat with that much cattitude.

(1,660 posts)who would stare at us and breathe quite heavily when she thought it was time to be fed (or if there was a "hole" in her food dish).
On more than one occasion we had to turn up the volume on the television in order to drown out the breathing.
