Signe Toly Anderson died on the same day as Paul Kantner

The original singer with Jefferson Airplane. She was replaced by Grace Slick.

I don't know what Jefferson Airplane would have become if Grace hadn't come on board, but since she did, Signe sadly became little more than a footnote in the band's history. It's a shame. "Takes Off" was a first album in every sense, but it was a good one. R.I.P.
