I am reminded of the final shot in phenomenal documentary about cave paintings,The Cave of Forgotten Dreams. The final shot was the the imprint of a hand, an imprint that could have been made yesterday.

On one of the pages was clearly visible the ring-shaped stain from the bottom of a mug.

Likely placed there by a drinker gone to dust 500 years ago.

Boggles the mind.
