It turns out humans are not at all good at multitasking. People who "fail" this test should remember that.

I also saw the gorilla but not until after he beat his chest. My thoughts then were, "What the ... That's a gorilla. What's that doing there." Of course this is the internet so I'll just attribute this to my ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
I really did see the gorilla though.
