but this has been mine for about six months. i never look at my desktop but the husband likes to change it on occasion.

16. the tricky thing is getting the right color so the icons show up well.

Which has kept me from using a couple pics I otherwise like.

17. I realize I'm boring but...

...my work pc has 8 icons on a plain black background. I set the task bar to auto-hide.
My personal pc has 5 icons and the same plain black background.

Does everyone have a picture, image or colorful pattern?

My usual desktops are pretty boring, clearlooks with a single color, generally darker ocean greens to blues to grays. Or worse, I go entirely down my OCD-off-his-meds hole and boot directly into my familiar terminal mode like it's 1979.

Linux these days, not BSD.

I won't touch anything Microsoft or Apple unless someone is paying me, and maybe not even then.
