My neighbor surprised me last week, asking me to find something for him on the internet. I thought it was going to be a vehicle part or something like that. He said he had seen a ceramic plate at the flea market that said “Dear son, we never talk about how proud I am of you for what you have accomplished, and I don’t say I love you. I love you. Yours truly, Dad.” He didn’t buy it, then regretted not buying it and went back four times but it was gone. Well, I did my research and couldn’t find that exact message. But I learned that custom things like that can be done at the mall, or similar things can be ordered on the web. But most of all, that this can be done AT HOME with blank ceramic plates from arts & crafts places, with Sharpies and stencils, baked in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and sealed with acrylic spray. When I did all this work he backed out, said his sister does ceramics so never mind. Fine! Just for that I’ll go to the crafts place tomorrow and make a plate of my own saying “Peace be to this house and all who enter here!” That'll show him!1
