What happens when you call in sick???

I hurt my back yesterday doing something (who knows, I'm 60 ok!)
I work a crappy part time job, so I texted my super.

Me: I wont be in tonight, my back is hurting.
Her: ok, you'll need a dr release before you come back.
Me: you know I don't want to loose this job, but I can't afford a dr...
Her: ok, so I'll see you tonight, then?

There ought to be some kind of law....
