http://www.mercurynews.com/bay-area-news/ci_29115989/coyote-strolls-into-east-bay-safeway-store-startlesAbout 6:50 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a report of a coyote in the Safeway at 3496 Camino Tassajara, said Danville police Sgt. Jason Ingrassia....
Ingrassia said he was surprised when the Police Department received a report of a coyote in the store.
"At first I thought they were just incorrect -- that it would be some kind of dog, but it was a coyote," he said.
He was probably looking for the Acme outlet store in the same strip mall.

edit: I could actually see this happening in Fairfield, Conn. Once a friend was taking me back to the train when a turkey strutted across the street! We had a good chuckle, since her 30-plus-pound cat (srsly! :wow) had a serious jones for turkey.

...while sitting at dinner in a Thai place in Los Gatos, listening to my youngest daughter and son-in-law talk up the merits of some ultra-dark beer called "Rasputin"-something-or-other.
And I was thinking to my 60-year old self "Gee, my favorite beer is an ice-cold Bud Light."
How on earth have I fallen so far? 😑
