Did anyone know that women in Switzerland, SWITZERLAND didn't get the vote until 1971!!

(16,386 posts)Suggestions: 1) Go with someone you're close to (I went with a long-time girlfriend). Ideally you might want to consider going with a group in order to talk about it afterward. Maybe go out for coffee or drinks following the movie. 2) It is sad in places, so pack tissues.
The acting is wonderful. Meryl Streep has an important cameo. I also thought the London period settings and costumes were interesting. There should be an Emmy somewhere in this movie but it will probably be panned which is too bad.
Lastly, I personally enjoy movies where the audience applauds at the end and stays to watch the credits roll by. That happens with "Suffragette." (That's also where you learn which countries passed suffrage and when.)
