Black Sabbath on Biography last night.

OK, the Zep show was awful (no Zep music, only soundalikes) but the Sab show was great. All those goofballs getting their knickers atwist over the band's name and lyrics was shown to be even sillier than before.

The theater across the street from the place where the young Sabs were rehearsing was showing the Boris Karloff movie "Black Sabbath" while the band was searching for a new name as there was already another band called "Earth."

Tony was a huge fan of cheesy monster movies and Geezer loved reading cheap horror paperbacks. That's where the inspiration for their image and lyrics came from. All "Famous Monsters of Filmland," zero Satanism. It is to laugh. And a nicer bunch of guys than Tony, Bill and Geezer would be hard to imagine. I can imagine that Ozzy could be a little difficult at times, but he's pretty darned OK too.
