opportunities to play Rachmaninoff. We did Piano Concerto #2 on our last concert last month. I love doing them. Thanks, isn't it beautiful?

When I first got into classical music, I couldn't believe how familiar Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto #2 sounded until I realised it was used by Eric Carmen in All by Myself.

The pleasure of such discoveries are part & parcel of classical music.

I learned that back in the late 60's when my piano teacher was working me through this piece. She played it for me in a lesson and I have never forgotten it, so beautiful.
