How did this happen?People are skeptical when I say it hasn't been work. The years have flown by and I still feel like we are a couple of kids playing house. We aren't perfect but seem to be perfect for each other.
You know you've been married 20 years when you plan to have lunch instead of dinner for your anniversary (kids' activities and my early bedtime mean dinner would be a pain!) I'll still have some champagne before bedtime.

(21,020 posts)years than I have with Mr Pipi...will be 17 years this Saturday.
The longest I've ever been married (less than five years each the first two times)...
and yeah...I get the whole lunch instead of dinner thing. We'll probably do a lunch/dinner thing Saturday around 4 PM.
Anyway, Happy Anniversary, and many more!
Looks like third time's the charm for you!
I thought 15 years was a long time. 20 makes me feel old.

(27,787 posts)We postpone our Anniversary dinners, until the next convienient weekend.
And we celebrate the actual day by enjoying our three kids ... and our joke is that, if not for them, we'd have killed each other by now!!

(27,787 posts)So in the first week of March, we took a week vacation in DC (we met there way way back in 1989).
We took the kids (10, 12, 18). The ACC tournament started and UNC played on Friday ... my wife and son (18) wanted to go watch UNC, so I took my daughters (10,12) to the Natural History Museum, while my wife and son went to a sports bar.
That is how our family vacations work.

Not to worry, I have since found new work.
