Nosebleeds due to weather changes

I swear, ever since I have been a kid, every time the weather changes I get a nosebleed from hell.

It's like clockwork - the herald of winter is me having one.

Has anyone else experienced this weird phenomenon?

Occasionally get congestion in chest, pre-cold, but if I watch it, can avoid illness.

TAKE CARE!

according to the link I posted upthread, and I pretty shocked I didn't put two and two together. It's the air all of the sudden getting a lack of moisture my body is accustomed to.

Thankfully it seems to work itself out each time with only one. But when they go, they look like I'm bleeding to death

I was actually more curious for methods to prevent it. I can't possibly be the only person on DU who has their sinuses have a freakout when the heat is started.

I've thought about getting a humidifier, and that is a ridiculously unnecessary thing down here, until it isn't, like my situation.

I don't always word things in the best way.

throw some water in the air.
sometimes that winter air gets so dry it is unreal - add itchy skin and hands so dry I can't pick anything up.
