1. I rarely have trick or treaters, but always buy something kids like (but, I DON'T--lol)

So I have a full bag of skittles packets-- in addition to nearly a full bag of starburst chews from last year. Anyone have an idea what to do with this? I used to take stuff like that to work, but have found it isn't too welcome any more.

I didn't get home from work until 4:30 pm. I was exhausted, shut my eyes for a minute and the next thing I knew it was 9:00 pm. I never turned on my front porch light so never got a trick or treater. Also, my dog was visiting my ex, therefore no bark alarm either. PLUS, I only got the candy I don't like and now I'm stuck with it until #2 son comes home for winter break. I brought some to work with me today.

to help yourself.... Not a single bag of skittles nor pack of starburst taken and damn it all, I have nothing to do with it. I guess it would be pretty shitty to donate it to a food bank--even if I include canned "healthy" foods?

that just because yhou have to to a food bank doesn't mean you or your kids don't like a treat now and then.

Go ahead and give it the food bank, let them decide.

...some Debbie Downer homeowners wanted to know what a senior citizen was doing trick-or-treating by himself and shouldn't I be in costume or at least have a mask?

I was planning on making one last trick-or-treater a very happy kid and dump all nine of them in their bag, but I didn't get anyone the last half hour.

I'm trying to lose weight so I didn't want to keep the extra candy. I just threw it away.
