1. It's been slow here, too, so I don't think I'll run out.

Even if I do eat all of the Almond Joys myself. If I do run out of candy I have string cheese, eggs and cat treats.

It was a PERFECT night for this! WTF?

Left-over Reeses (two kinds), Kit-Kat and Snickers, which my husband will take care of.

13. I have a brother and SIL who live in a neighborhood

with lots of trick-or-treaters. SIL is annoyed when there are older kids coming to their door (14+). She gives each a single pepperment drop candy (ie. the kind you see at a restaurant cash register). She is generous with the little kids and akways asks them about their costumes.

6. A half dozen little girls just sang a song when I answered the door.

It was probably something every kid knows but I didn't recognize it because I'm old. Still, it was cute.

I'll pile it into a big old "fishbowl" and watch it disappear over about 2 weeks! That's how much I have left.

Funny, but this happens often in hospitals and clinics (mine's a clinic).

16. It's 9:30 here so I don't expect any more visitors.

It was a fairly quiet night, even though the weather isn't too bad (about 50 and overcast). So I have candy left over, too. I will eat the Almond Joys and take the rest to a choir rehearsal tomorrow night (I'm retired, too, so no co-workers to dump it on).

22. We had about 50 kids before we ran out of candy and turned out the porch lamp.

The light rain didn't seem to bother them one bit.

And I'm glad we gave all the candy away. I didn't need that temptation sitting on the table.
