Who else doesn't get some of these reality shows?

I have made an effort to try to like some of them to spend time with my daughter who is a t.v. channel flipper. But some don't make sense to me. The Jersey shore and the Kardashians for example. I keep waiting for the big dance scene, but it just keeps reaching new levels of ordinary boring.

2. I hate 'em all

especially the "musical chairs" shows where somebody gets voted off the island/stage/runway/leather chair/kitchen floor/dance floor, etc.

Horrible to see what passes for entertainment in millions of American living rooms every week.

3. Why are the Kardashians famous?

I could understand a show like The Osbournes, Ozzy had talent but i don't know why someone would find a spoiled rich family interesting. I try to avoid reality shows but they're on news shows and i see their faces on the super market tabloids at the check out stand.

Asked Kardashian why they had the reality show when they had no talent.

4. They are cheap to produce and they need content for dozens of channels.

5. I've never watched any reality tv show

...except a few home improvement shows on HGTV.

I truly don't understand the appeal.

7. "Reality Shows" are scripted monotony for the viewer seriously lacking in a life of their own.

If it's a "reality" show, how can they have previews?
