(14,691 posts)Madonna's Material Girl. I barely listen to ANY music now but some of it gets through- e.g., "Call Me Maybe."

(65,179 posts)Carly's new album Emotion is even better throughout. Maybe I should have posted wiki links with the names. Anyone know most or all of my names?

(43,189 posts)Just a little too flaky.
The entire show has gone downhill significantly, actually. Which is a shame, because it was really funny in the first season or two.

(6,496 posts)Jamie Dornan from The Fall (I know he is in that darn Fifty Shades movie, but I have never seen that). He is very good looking with a beard. The other one that comes to mind is Ian Somerhalder from Vampire Diaries. I can't think of any others right now.
IcyPeas
(21,899 posts)I've seen him in other things, but he is really impressing me in this.

(602 posts)I first saw him in Kinky Boots and then a short time later in Serenity. I couldn't believe it was the same actor, so I looked up some of his other work. Just amazing. And so very good looking.

Getting the Charlize Theron treatment as Aileen Wournos.
Tommy_Carcetti
(43,189 posts)She had a smaller role in a silly but enjoyable movie called "Warm Bodies" as the friend of the female lead character. (She was also a contestant in America's Next Top Model and had a brief cameo appearance in The Big Bang Theory as herself). I'm not exactly why she caught my attention in that movie, but she did. Had a crush on her ever since.
Hell Hath No Fury
(16,327 posts)"Crazy, Stupid, Love"? Quite a large role and very good in it.

(12,158 posts)I was a kid in the 50s, these three were my favorite heart throbs. Turns out, even as a kid I had good taste and knew how to spot a good liberal.

"I know I've made kind of a half-assed career out of violence, but I abhor violence. I am an ardent supporter of gun control. It seems incredible to me that the United States are the only civilized nation that does not put some effective control on guns."
Widmark described himself as a passionate liberal Democrat.

(3,275 posts)I grew up on old movies. I liked all three of these actors. I knew Burt Lancaster and Robert Ryan were liberals. I didn't know about Richard Widmark. I'm glad to hear this.

(43,189 posts)Newly elected Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
I have to tip my hat to the guy. That is one good looking dude. Plus he's got a perfect looking family to boot.
They're like that family in the picture that comes with the picture frame you buy at the store before you take it out and put in your own, less appealing looking family picture.
Damn it Trudeau family! Stop looking so good!

(56,828 posts)I've developed a strong crush on Melissa Benoist. If she's anything like her Kara Danvers quirky/nerdy personality in real life, it would be

(56,828 posts)like Jeb did. There are plenty of beautiful women in Hollywood (and elsewhere) - I just loved her personality and energy in the role.
To me, personality is just as important as looks for a crush. For a girlfriend or wife, personality would actually be more important.
I was painfully shy in middle school, high school and through most of college and also kind of laid back, so I have always been drawn to girls, and then women, that had outgoing and energetic personalities.

(43,189 posts)....that the guy from Whiplash was a fool for blowing her off just because he felt he had to focus more on being verbally abused by JK Simmons--I mean drumming.
Dumb move, dude.

(20,209 posts)Sam Elliot, Clive Owen and Alan Rickman are probably my favorites.
Liam Neeson is sex on the hoof, and age appropriate! (for me)
I had a totally NOT age appropriate crush on James Franco after seeing 127 Hours. Now my crush is on Joseph Gordon Levitt.
Actual crushes:
Cheyenne Jackson
Taye Diggs
Jay Sario and Edmond Newton (Project Runway contestants)
Josh Dallas
Jay Hernandez
Daniel Craig
Randall Park
Evan Peters
Patrick Wilson
Women I would pretend to be straight for:
Jennifer Lawrence (she's hilarious)
Anna Kendrick
Angela Bassett
Angelina Jolie
Constance Wu
Laverne Cox
Jennifer Garner

(65,179 posts)If she was, and also is a Repuke (a possibility as her family is conservative), it would be harder to have a crush. I'll keep her on unless she becomes more involved the wrong way. As is, many of the above crushes are Democrats or liberals. Jeb would be disappointed if he looked at who Melissa Benoist is following on Twitter.

Stephen Amell from Arrow is just hot.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)as a straight guy, I will see a guy and don't understand what the fuss is all about, or why so many women like the guy. With Stephen Amell, I can definitely see the appeal.

(65,179 posts)I have had a crush on Andrea Corr for a long time, so she should be there.
Alyssa Milano was one of my earliest crushes and is still there. Molly Ringwald was very early. Other early ones were Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, Michelle Thomas (sadly died young), Katie Holmes (got kind of weird). It's interesting to see how the list has changed since I was a teen.
Just discovered Emily Kinney from iTunes last night - not sure about the music, but she is cute and adorable. Good crush type
