No one can fill JS's shoes, of course, but IMHO, Noah doesn't even come close. Find myself turning to it by habit and then getting distracted by something else. I do enjoy Larry Wilmore, though; I've been turning into "The Nightly Show" well, nightly.

(28,394 posts)"The Nightly Show" has really improved since its first few weeks, so I hope Trevor Noah will too. I'm not ready to give up on him yet.
BTW, I have pretty much given up on Stephen Colbert's show unless he has a special guest. I just prefer Larry Wilmore now.

(15,809 posts)he's not supposed to be. I can't imagine how daunting it must be to try to fill those shoes. He's doing better than most would, it will just take a bit of time for him to find his own groove; it will take a bit longer for his audience to stop expecting him to be someone else.
As for me, I'm so pleased that Colbert is on earlier! I used to fall asleep toward the end of the Daily Show, missed way too much of Colbert. He does seem to be enjoying his new niche.
