I just can't get into Trevor Noah. I've tried.

No one can fill JS's shoes, of course, but IMHO, Noah doesn't even come close. Find myself turning to it by habit and then getting distracted by something else. I do enjoy Larry Wilmore, though; I've been turning into "The Nightly Show" well, nightly.

... two others turned down the job before him. I guess the network was feeling a little pinched.

"The Nightly Show" has really improved since its first few weeks, so I hope Trevor Noah will too. I'm not ready to give up on him yet.

BTW, I have pretty much given up on Stephen Colbert's show unless he has a special guest. I just prefer Larry Wilmore now.

he's not supposed to be. I can't imagine how daunting it must be to try to fill those shoes. He's doing better than most would, it will just take a bit of time for him to find his own groove; it will take a bit longer for his audience to stop expecting him to be someone else.

As for me, I'm so pleased that Colbert is on earlier! I used to fall asleep toward the end of the Daily Show, missed way too much of Colbert. He does seem to be enjoying his new niche.
