How about a DU 'Match' , including non-romantic, forum/group?

I posted this in General Discussion and was told to post it in the Lounge, which I admit I never go to...have never gone to since I joined over 10 years ago, but here goes:
Reading a recent Greatest Thread about 'living on the edge' (of financial pain, sense of survival, etc.), I thought about me (it's always all about me! ha) and how I wish I knew someone who was considering moving to the southwest, some place rural, options to explore, etc.) maybe owned a small RV or camper or ? who was willing to help with ?gathering kindling, helping with handyman crap and trade living here with a little help around here...Even tho' I'm 64, I dance and love and romance isn't out of the question, mind you!
I know there's a Business forum/group, but I was thinking of something else, something more, something different, too.
I'd love to have a DUer property, house mate...for a while!
I'd love to have a DU Love.

I thought you were suggesting a dating site but I reread it. Dating sites only never end well.

I was actually a little butt hurt, and I've never read of anyone suggesting this before...or I never paid attention! duh
A friend of mine has a daughter married 4 years now who met her husband on OKCupid...I'm half ass trying there, but....
That's not my first glimpse that maybe??
At any rate, I love where I live, and the last 2 men I had more than one date with ended with a gentle thud...Who would have guessed a guy wearing a Bob Marley tshirt and who likes to cook me dinner with no demand I cook for him would turn out to be a racist who likes to smoke pot? Go figure.

I'm a supporter, whether romantic or non-romantic or just an all-purpose DU personals forum. You need 10 people and a statement of purpose to form a group. Now you need 8 more.

We've had both of those before, but it doesn't get formed. I think the admins pretty explicitly don't want one...I just wish they'd stop directing interested parties to the Lounge as it's not really the right fora for those kinds of ads either.

Or something like that! I'd never heard anyone suggest it before and honestly, I never would have been interested. Did you retain any of those other Duers so we can sorta connect & organize?
