I mean, they're only a couple of hours apart on I-95, and they could both commiserate with their love-hate relationship with their respective Florida NFL teams. It would be a lovely bonding experience.

(39,343 posts)I live in Jax and the Jags suck. The only message they'll hear and respond to would be if everyone would stop showing up.
They continue to go week after week, fill the seats, pay $8 for a Budweiser (and consume a minimum of 5), and then they act surprised and complain on social media when the team loses (as they do each week). If they'll stop going and stop spending their money, the owner might get the drift and make some changes.

Don't ask me why, but the Jags are actually my second favorite team and I hope they start to pull it together. I think the jury's still out on Blake Bortles but he could be good down the road.
All I know right now is that they've got one more win than my Ravens do. So that counts for something, I suppose.

(39,343 posts)He keeps drawing elaborate plans for revitalizing the downtown area that are laughable and fantastical and will never come to pass. In the meantime, he's bought a soccer team in Europe and has gotten the Jags to play at least one game a year in England and I think 2 or so in the years to come. He has no plans to make the team better and I think will ultimately try to move the team across the pond after soaking the city for all he can.
I hope he does move the team to the UK.
As for the team, Bortles sucks and the coach is a joke who couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. They use draft picks to get slow, oversized lineman who fall to injury, average punters, and wide receivers with drug and driving problems. They also find a way to win the last two games each year to ensure that they do not get the top draft picks.

(43,199 posts)People talk about the idea of a team in London full term but the logistics are just too impossible. Just imagine the 10 hour time shift for West Coast teams.
It's taken the NFL 20 years and still counting to return to Los Angeles, the 2nd largest market in the country. I doubt they'll be able to pull off any type of move or expansion into Europe.

Personally I would much rather see our government selling rugby leage and rugby union to the states instead.
