So I needed some maintenance done on my shorts

My trusty old pair of swimming trunks transformed into everyday shorts.
I find this sewing business on yelp. At lunch I go to the address and it's house. I ring the doorbell and I am welcomed in. Korean family - mom,dad, 2 babies (one who apparently plays piano), and grandma who is cooking up a Korean FEAST. A huge amount of food on this giant 8 foot table ready to be prepared.
Grandma offers me a chair, then pretty much demands I sit while waiting.
Good work. Very nice family. When the sewing was done the mom said "Oh it's okay". I pretty much made them take $5 for 5 minutes of work. I would have paid much more to stay for lunch. It looked like it was going to be great.
When sitting there I look out the back door. There is sort of coop in the backyard.
Me: chickens?
Dad: no. No chickens. They took them away. (?)
Me: oh. Sorry to hear that
Dad: oh, it's okay. We do have a raccoon and a possum.
