"Lost in Space" and "I Dream of Jeannie" both premiered 50 years ago this week

and earlier this month it was "Gilligan's Island" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" also turning 50.

I watch entirely too much Me TV.

And I'm getting old as ***!!!!)))!!

I was 9 years old.

I watched almost every Lost In Space episode. My mother even liked it! Of course we all watched I Dream of Jeanie! What an innocent time.

2. The Mary Tyler Moore Show did not come until 1970. She was still "married" to Dick Van Dyke

Did you know originally Mary Richards was going to be a divorced woman instead of a woman whose engagement had ended. But the executives were worried that people would think she had divorced Rob Petrie.

3. We're the same age

That means we are also the same age as Maureen "Marcia Brady" McCormick...I had a mad crush on her, as well as Angela "Penny Robinson" Cartwright (4 years older than me). Barbara Eden, Dawn Wells and Julie Newmar rounded out the list of women that I was convinced would one day be Ms. Miles Archer. Oddly enough, the woman most mentioned by males that age as also being on the "crush" list...Elizabeth Montgomery...was never a crush for me. I wasn't a "Bewitched" fan at all...don't know why. You'd think I would have been considering the rest of my crushes.

Montgomery and her then-husband, Bewitched creator Bill Asher, were friends with Sargent and his partner Albert Williams during the run of the series. After The Star magazine outed Sargent in 1991, he decided to publicly come out, and in a later interview said Montgomery respected “the hell out of me for doing this. She thinks it’s marvelous and has nothing but encouraging words.”

To show her support publicly, Montgomery reunited with Sargent to co-Marshall the 1992 Los Angeles Pride Parade. “In or out of the closet, I love him. He’s a super guy and a good friend. I’m happy for him and proud of him."

I remember "A Case of Rape" in which she played the lead and she was fantastic. The program
was hard-hitting and exposed what really goes on when a woman is raped and how she is treated
by the authorities, as well as the court system. A real eye-opener and way before its time.

And one might also remember Lori Saunders (of Petticoat Junction: she even has her own web site) and Karen Valentine. I also had a thing for Bridget Hanley, because my mother was a fan of "Here Come the Brides."

Probably my first lust was Carol Merrill of "Let's Make a Deal," though. What legs. Not that I knew anything to do with her then.

some of which I don't remember. My cousin had a working replica of the robot. Today we are treated with Decades looking back at Bill Clinton defining "is" and a tribute to Charlie's Angels and Flo-Jo.

It wasn't until after his work on Jeannie and other shows that he started writing novels. I absolutely love his work and am a huge fan. I've ready every single one of his novels, many more than once.

It's too bad Trump and the other repub candidates don't have one of those cartridges that you could simply pull out to make them slump over in silence.
