Woman tricks Alex Trebek into saying 'Turd Ferguson' on 'Jeopardy!'

Woman tricks Alex Trebek into saying 'Turd Ferguson' on 'Jeopardy!'

When asked to name the song "from a 1999 animated film about censorship" a contestant named Talia decided to come up with a unique answer.

She wrote, "What is the love ballad of Turd Ferguson?'

Trebek read her answer, as the crowd laughed, and people on social media went wild.

If you've watched SNL's skit Celebrity Jeopardy, you know Turd Ferguson.

It's not easy getting to be a contestant on Jeopardy. I've done it. She took the place of someone who probably really wanted to be there. But I guess she's now more famous for this than she would have been if she's actually won. And that, in America, is really all that matters, right??

It was the final jeopardy question and she didn't know the correct answer. That doesn't mean she wanted to be there any more or less than anyone else - she just didn't know that answer.

It's not like she threw the game to do it. You don't get extra points for leaving the slate empty or writing "I don't know."

To me, she took on a really bad attitude early when she had trouble figuring out how to work her answering device. Final Jeopardy was her parting shot.

Pretty childish thing to do, IMO, but then I guess I'm just humor-challenged. I would have thought twice about making an immature ass out of myself on national TV. Again, JMO.

Nothing obscene was said or written. It was all in good fun since she didn't know the answer anyway. She set her place in Jeopardy history, and I bet the producers will implement some sort of broadcast delay if they don't already have one. If they already have one, they allowed this one to pass.

I wonder if the producers can "see" what the contestants are writing on those electronic devices, in case something needs to be censored?

By the way, is the answer: 'America, Fuck Yeah!'

If that's the answer how the hell were you supposed to write it so Trebek could say it?

I heard the next one is to get Trebek to say one of the lines that was said by Connery during the SNL Jeopardy spoof.
