I always look forward to Banned Book Week. . .

That's when I put away my Kindle and take out my library card and re-read all the banned books I can (and beyond banned book week). It's a killer on my muscles (I can't hold more than 5 lbs total) but it's worth it.

Anyone joining me?

Here's a list of "banned books". . . http://www.ala.org/bbooks/frequentlychallengedbooks/top100

I guess it's been banned ever since it was written. Unbelievable.

Along with "To Kill a Mockingbird"-- honestly, it makes me livid to read that list.

GRRR.....

On the lighter side, I can't say I'm familiar with
"The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big, Round Things" by Carolyn Mackler

Thank you for reminding me. I actually just got back from the library. Also, thanks for the list. I will check and see what books I have missed.
