MiddleFingerMom is going to try posting his groups again (his so-called "spam").

.
.
.
You folks have been really nice about responding to the more occasional posts I've been making.
.
.
.
I do hope for some feedback (not EXPECT... as someone accused me of... but HOPE FOR).
.
.
.
Someone else asked me if I think everything I post is "hella funny".
.
.
.
Hells, YEAH I DO -- I spend many hours sifting through dozens, scores, hundreds of pics
and cartoons and bringing you what I think are the funniest.
.
Will YOU think everything I post is hella funny?
.
Not at all. Senses of humor differ... so I hope to make you laugh more often than not ---
but won't be a bit surprised if I can't.
.
.
.
I'm not arrogant -- I don't PRESUME that, just because I was funny last week or last
month, I'm necessarily going to be funny today or next week or next month.
.
THAT'S why your feedback is so important to me -- it's a check-and-balance to keep
me from those presumptions -- a legend in my OWN mind.
.
Feed back can be as simple as a "k(Enter)" to kick the thread back up so more people
can enjoy it as much as you hopefully did.
.
It can be a "hi" or a question or anything.
.
But no replies speaks to me of a "meh" response.
.
Not a lot of people have to reply, but there's a difference between 3 or 4 or 6 and
ZERO replies. BIG difference.
.
.
Thanks for listening. Hope you enjoy these as much as I did (but don't EXPECT that
of you).

But, I love me some my Middle Finger Mom.

Honestly, your posts are a highlight of the Lounge and of DU. Post on, post on, post on, and to blazes with the naysayers.

I don't know why you catch heat for posting several threads a day. It would be different if it truly was spam, but I haven't seen you trying to sell vacuum cleaners or boner pills on here.

Then again, I'm not on here as much as I used to be.

Seriously, there are people in other forums who post several threads a day and as far as I know they don't get shouted down because of it. Why should the lounge be any different?

I like you as a fellow DUer, and as a person. It is obvious that you are kind, fun and a nice person. The stuff you post? I hide it. It's a bit facebook-y for me. Every once in awhile I find the odd thing that a person post hilarious, or I post one myself. But a bunch of them are a little tiresome. I hope you take this in the spirit it was intended. As feedback. Have a terrific rest of the weekend.

Hope when I have time to check in there is one or two "MFMs" to look at and make me laugh.

And I will make more of an effort to comment. Sometimes I don't just because I don't think I have anything useful to add. But I always read them and I always laugh.

Still, I understand how you could feel like few or no comments means no appreciation. That's not true at all.

My posts don't get comments, either - but I'm not funny.

A good laugh is like gold in the crappy world we inhabit.

Seriously, you should start your own MFM comedy site. Maybe it will be the Mad magazine of the future. You never know until you try.

In my defense, I'm not a prolific poster.

I do, however, look for your posts when I come to the lounge, especially when I've had a rotten day and need some smiles. I have missed seeing them the last week or so.

And on more than one occasion, I've been caught at work giggling at something when I should be doing other things. I don't go to DU on my work computer, but I do love having a smart phone!

I'm glad to see you posting "spam" again!

Sometimes humor isn't what someone is looking for. Sometimes it is precisely what they are looking for. On one hand, sometimes I say something and people find it funny and I hadn't the first inclination to be funny. Other times, I can go out of my way to be funny and nobody finds it funny. Humor is a particularly difficult thing. I am used to a meh response to my attempts. Sounds like you put a lot of effort into it. Would you rather people say, that's not funny? - if they didn't find it amusing? Or just skip on by? You did specify that it was what you think would be funny. I have an odd sense of humor, and most don't find my humor all that funny. I don't much mind.

Even when they're not funny they're still better than most of the posts I click on! I find most of 'em real funny, or at least interesting and entertaining. Keep posting! Another one of the joys is seeing another post of yours appear and imagining the grimaces on the faces of your legions of detractors!

I've been very sick and haven't been able to stay on-line for more than a few minutes at a time (The screen makes my headaches worse and that makes the nausea worse, and on and on and on).

You're posts are some of those that I try to get to when I'm on, humor is important in life where ever you can get it.

Keep up the good work

Funny is the main reason I like the Lounge. If I want serious, argument/abuse I'll step into gd.
The last thing I want, is for the Lounge to turn into gd-lite.
