My Mom made some banana bread...

3. I made two loaves the other night.

One is already gone. I put blueberries in it this time. Was very tasty.

Every so often my Mom puts Toll House chocolate chips into her banana bread.

4. Sometimes I put peanut butter and chocolate chips in banana bread.

I think Elvis would have liked mine.

Also, I put in extra bananas and even a bit of banana extract to amp up the flavor. Also vanilla extract.

9. Yum! When my grandparents were alive

they were a banana bread making factory.... they would crank out 8-10 loaves - sometimes freeze them so whenever someone came to visit from the Twin Cities (Mpls-St Paul) to where they lived (and I grew up) in Northern MN, they could take some back and distribute them to the rest of us.

It was so cute watching them - cranking out those loaves in their cramped kitchen, they had a rhythm and efficiency that was amazing.

That banana bread was so damn good it never lasted long in our house. We would give little pieces to our dogs - got to the point even they knew when grandma banana bread was in the house and followed us around until we gave in and snuck them a piece.
