You have to teach them not to do that. It is their natural instinct as herders to nip at the heels of the cattle. They learn very quickly though!

Adults aren't at much risk of being nipped, but small children running around are. Corgis are better with older children.

Some people I knew tried all sorts of things to get their corgi to stop chasing cars. It's part of the breed's herding instinct. Unfortunately the dog chased after one car too many, got run over and died. I wish they had put up a fance to keep the dog from getting out on the street, but maybe they couldn't afford it.

They love the thrill of the chase. Mine liked to chase skateboards! And they always make sure the yard is cleared of bunnies! LOL

They seem to outgrow that, though. The older ones are great about staying away from the road. We keep the younger one on a retractable leash, but she really doesn't need it anymore. She is just used to going out with it on.

I stopped quickly and they caught my car well actually they didn't quite expect me to stop. They ended up piling into each other in a site the that was so funny.

They couldn't quite figure out what to do with the car.
