I used to grow great pumpkins. Last year I didn't get even one, so I didn't plant any this year. Too rainy at the beginning of summer.

there were a few things in the garden we grew from seeds chosen by my son... pumpkins and corn. we actaully have couple of ears coming in on only two stalks. picked a couple of nice cantaloupes today - tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers - nice time of the year

I have tons of cukes and some really nice peppers. I planted all heirloom tomatoes, so I only have cherry tomatoes so far. The other ones are huge and mostly still green. You are right, best time of the year.
