Here's Tobin;
It's been good meeting up with Dennis. I told him I would buy him dinner if he made it by this way. We took him to one of our favorite restaurants, a Thai restaurant, and he actually treated us!

2. I remember when DU was not so destroyed that we could have announced meetups.

I went to two in my hometown Atlanta. One of them we had about three dozen people. Met Catwoman and others.

Nice denbot and the TobinS's. Very nice.

7. Yeah, they make things unpleasant here, but DU still is that kind of place.

Even back in the early days when the freepers would pull shit like those assholes did to Kephra, we would meet up and have a blast. Don't let the trolls and other assorted idiots stand in the way of meeting with fellow progressives that you meet here on DU.

I'm in North County (Lancaster), and I don't get down your way as much as before. I take Metrolink to L.A. (2 hours one way). But you are seriously tempting me to make the trip.

11. My Older sister lives in Palmdale and MetroLinks down here on occasion.

The offer is serious, I just about anytime I'm home I would be happy to pick you up at Union Station. I could have my yak loaded up, and afterwards we could see if CaliforniaPeggy, and Mandrake could meet us for a snack before heading back downtown.
