(95,337 posts)My mother learned what Cameltoe means. She had no clue until I tried on a pair of skinny jeans. I didn't realize they were skinny jeans at the time else I would not have tried them on in the first place. She was shocked to realize this was actually a condition. I also had to say that some people actually walked around like this and didn't even realize it or fix it.
I assured my mother that I owned no clothing that caused cameltoe!

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter revealed he has cancer on Wednesday. It was discovered after the 90-year-old's recent liver surgery.
"Recent liver surgery revealed that I have cancer that now is in other parts of my body," Carter said in a statement. "I will be rearranging my schedule as necessary so I can undergo treatment by physicians at Emory Healthcare," he added.
Also listening to the Cure non-stop all day always puts me in a weird funk

I think everybody gets down every now and then.
Have you tried meditation? I do it every morning, just clearing my head and concentrating on my breathing in and out. I do this for about 15 minutes and then I do my gentle stretching. I must say that I feel a lot calmer...
good luck.

Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers
The Cure is a great band with dozens of fantastic songs but they are not the ones to lift a person up. I don't go around giving advice much, but listening to 1950s rock-n-roll puts me in a good mood every single time.
Need just one song? 'I'm So Happy' by Lewis Lymon and the Teenchords- just try and have a foul mood listening to that song!

(792 posts)classic rockers what they listen to, every single one of them will mention the original 50s rock-n-roll. Been a long time since a rock n roll been a long time since I did the stroll. The drum intro from that son was borrowed from Little Richard's 'Keep a Knockin''.
Do you like the song Hot Dog? I know it's considered kind of a novelty by Zep fans but is actually a rip-snorting rocker with piano playing to die for. That's the kind of stuff that lifts me up and that's what I lean to when I don't want to feel in the dumps.
Look for stuff like that to listen to and avoid Cure, the blues, folk etc. The 50s works best for me because other than a few beautiful ballads, all of the songs are upbeat, unpretentious and just make you wanna dance and be happy. There is no doubt in my mind that it is the best medicine!
Led Zep covered Larry Williams' 'Slow Down'. Give the original a spin and see if you don't hoot and holler with Larry screams and the blaring horn! Just give these old artists one chance and see if they light just a tiny fire like they do in me. No harm in 2 minutes of youtube time, none of these artists songs are longer than 3 minutes! Since you know you can always rely on the Mighty Zep, give Little Richard or Chuck Berry or Fats Domino another consideration. They are legends just like Led Zep for a reason. Best of luck no matter what you do LynnSin. Hope you feel better soon and I apologize for writing a book!

(22,845 posts)Stayed in Seaford DE, drove twice to the beach at Assateague State Park in Maryland.
Those so-called wild ponies are professional moochers. On our second day there, a dozen of them wandered around the beach crowd, eating people's snacks. One pony went to the blanket next to us and popped a bag of potato chips with its teeth. They grazed around for maybe a half hour, then left, except for five that lined up at the edge of the water and posed for pictures for another 15-20 minutes.
Loved the Stargate Diner on Rt. 13 in Seaford. We don't have real diners in snotty Montgomery County, MD.
Oh, and this:

(77,097 posts)This bird had a baby that blew out of a tree and broke its leg. Thought it was a goner, but mommie keeps working. He's taken shelter but is visible if one knows which bush he went into. Now the place has heavy foot traffic and mommie sits in the tree and dive bombs every twit that walks by. I need a new camera as this thing is tireless and each victim shits itself when pecked on the head. Well I tried.
