anybody do CL deals?

the reason I ask is because I'm selling a pair of trailer tires and wheels that hold air and look good for under $20.00. I got a reply asking how old the tires are. I told them they are on a trailer with a 1977 boat on it but I don't think they are that old and the trailer is a 1998 model but they look newer than that so they would have to do a dna test to find the age. Do you think I was being impertinent in my reply?

1. It was a reasonable question

and a snarkier response than needed, in my opinion. I wouldn't buy them without at least a rough guesstimate of their age.

2. used to do craigslist and ebay

but they are now getting full of scammers and A-holes who waste your time with no intention of buying anything or in the case of ebay will buy from you make a complaint with ebay and paypal ship your item back to you only it's not what you shipped originally but a box of rocks or some piece of junk they found on a road side and i found with both venues that pricing things cheap to move them quicker sends up some sort of red flag that puts off buyers the same as if it were priced too high.

i have given up on both venues. i now do local groups on facebook and nextdoor
