hair pins, combs, hair dryers, heck just about anything can fall into that sucker.

Lid closed, problem solved!

What a PIA.

I learned my lesson back in 1994 when my neighbor's brand new mobile phone fell into the toilet during an earthquake. Until then it never occurred to me that havoc could ensue. After that, lid down, always! lol

The trick is to get the lid down before the cat jumps on the counter.

They used to fall in frequently, and then I'd bang my head against the shelves picking them up, at which point I'd drop my glasses/cell phone into the toilet again.
