She's 10 today

My daughter turns 10 today. She was born at 3:15 am so this morning my wife and I got her up (she requested it) and had parfaits on the back deck watching the ocean. We are on vacation.

Wow 10 years. Great kid. Smart (really smart considering the gene pool she crawled out of) caring, an "old soul" as she has been described by several people.

She's going on her first sail boat ride tonight at sunset. My gift to her.

I can't seem to find my journal or I would post my I'VE SPAWNED!! DU post from 10 years ago.

Just the three of us, two other guests, first mate and Captain. 44 foot boat. Me and the girl hoisted the main sail, cranked the job into place, and everyone got a chance to stear. Spent about 45 minutes in the ocean. Quiet, serene, peaceful sailing. My wife and I were sitting in beanbag chairs on the top deck and our girl got the Captain to play "Hotel California" on the stereo. Perfect. We saw the Eagles live 2 1/2 weeks ago - bucket list for my wife.
