(38,613 posts)I fully expected to be shredded when I first tried applying the harness, but she took to it as if she'd been doing it forever. I'm glad we were able to go on several walks during those last years

(16,327 posts)who I used to put a harness and lead on to take to the SPCA for his vet visits (he was too heavy/big for me to carry him and a cat carrier). We would walk into the waiting room and everything would stop. I have a cat now who goes on walks with me, just minus the leash. I take my leashed chihuahua out to walk and Stumpy Pete just moseys along with us, butting heads with Bonita as we go. We'll walk for blocks like that.
