...of "American Pie" fame. Artist Lori Lieberman described the feelings she had at a Don Mclean concert to songwriter Norman Gimbel, who later translated the conversation into lyrics.

I never knew that. I noticed something to that effect scrolling at the bottom of the video, so I went and looked it up. Amazing story for an amazing song!
