I coming home for an extended stay (2 whole months, interrupted by 2 days in Canada in the middle), starting in mid-July.
For much of the time, I will be mostly out of sight. I cause less trouble that way.

(54,379 posts)But I'm definitely taking it. Getting up at 4 or 5 AM, getting home, if at all, at 11 PM, maybe a third to half the weekends in the year off, putting up with train strikes, métro strikes, airline strikes, trains and planes breaking down, Eastern European mafiosi and corrupt officials in Belgium and France, I am READY for some peace and quiet!!!!!!!!

(54,379 posts)Except for a few evening soirées in Annapolis, which is as far as I got, I've never really gotten as far as the lower Chesapeake area. I've seen photos, including yours, and it looks wonderful!
Some day, when time permits, which it rarely does (maybe in 25 years or so?)

(54,379 posts)There is a tiny stage in Truro, Massachusetts (Payomet, if you're in the area), about a ten minute drive from the place we rent, where they manage to book quality acts during the summer. A couple of years ago, I saw a very energetic John Mayall with his latest blues band.
This year, they have one of our favorite singer-songwriters, Shawn Colvin, performing about two weeks before we get there (GRRRRRR!!!)
Then, about three days after we have to leave, Arlo Guthrie is playing there (TRIPLE GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!)
There is no justice.
