How in his dog brain can he even comprehend that he is in an environment his species should never encounter naturally. Mind boggling.

(but not snakes). I used to do a lot of flying for Civil Air Patrol, and a few times we flew SAR dogs to search sites. I remember there was this one large dog in the back seat with his handler, and for awhile he looked out the window with a kind of "WTF?" expression on his face. Then he just curled up and went to sleep. I suppose he was thinking something like, "Hell, I'm just a dog, I have no idea what's going on, so I think I'll take a nap."

Nice plane and dog, btw. Yours?

I have a much older and less well equipped C182. I used to take one of my previous border collies up in the plane. I had the same dog ear protection only a bigger size. He would mostly just curl up in the back seat. Sometimes I'd slow down enough to open up the window and he'd try to get his snout through, but the slipstream was always too strong. The two I have now get sick in the car, so there's no way I'd take them up in the plane.
