Zookeepers around the world are taking a (prehistoric) leaf out of Chris Pratts book, mimicking his Jurassic World characters dinosaur-taming moves.
Theres a scene in the film in which Pratt is shown training a group of velociraptors. A still of that scene has since been transformed into a hilarious meme.
On Wednesday, Tumblr user Feminerds shared a photograph of a zookeeper copying Pratts pose with a group of walruses.

(14,881 posts)1. ok, it's a tough call but I think the otters win for cuteness
and squee!
Although the doves, the penquins, and the turtles are a strong tie for second.
I noticed the rhino zookeeper very smartly distracted them with piles of hay Good survival move!

(38,436 posts)3. There was something about the turtles that really made me laugh.
Maybe because of their violent nature...no that is not true, I missed that somehow ..

(38,319 posts)5. If chickens were the size of velociraptors they'd be terrifying.
When I was a kid we had a little rooster who would wait up on the roof above the front door of our house. Randomly he'd decide to jump off and attack anyone who tried to enter or exit. He'd hang out in trees and do the same. Surprise! Like the Pink Panther's Cato. All of our dogs, even the big dogs who wouldn't take shit from anyone, coyotes, bobcats, skunks, raccoons, or UPS drivers, were afraid of him. This rooster was such a horrible, horrible creature we kept him around. He wouldn't have been good to eat anyways. (My family is a little bit Addams family...)
I also remember cleaning up the garden and pasture with the chickens following behind me hoping to eat any insects I flushed out, or grubs and worms I uncovered. I once lifted up an old fallen fence rail that had mice nests under it and instantly everything became a scene of bloody carnage, the chickens swallowing baby mice whole and chasing after the adult mice, ripping them apart into bite-sized chunks when they caught them and fought over the bloody little mice corpses...

(11,862 posts)6. Had no idea chickens were carnivors!
To the mice, the chickens WERE velociraptors

Something went REALLY wrong when they cloned Velociraptor - a real one was about the size of a turkey, and the ones InGen made were like miniature T.rex.

Problem is I have 30 sheep. When I call 1 they all come running.

(34,409 posts)13. Animals are cute, but zoos & aquariums make me sad
Especially the dolphins. Many of them come from the Taiji slaughter/capture. Hate to be a wet blanket; can't help it.
